you have questions? we have answers!
how should i prepare for my first brazilian/body wax?
Let it grow: Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long for the best results- I recommend 2-3 weeks of growth if you’re coming from shaving.
Avoid sun exposure: Stay out of direct sun or tanning beds for a few days before your wax. Sunburnt skin cannot be waxed.
Manage discomfort: If you’re worried about sensitivity, you can take over-the-counter pain reliever(like ibuprofen) about 30 minutes before your appointment. I now have a numbing add on option for those who have a lower pain tolerance.
Dress comfortably: Wear loose-fitting, breathable clothing to your appointment to help avoid irritation after your wax.
Share any concerns: If you have sensitive skin, are on any medications, or have questions about certain areas, let me know before we begin- I’m here to make you feel comfortable and cared for.
Hydrate: Drinking water beforehand keeps your skin hydrated, which helps ease sensitivity and support a smoother waxing experience.
Can i get waxed on my period?
Yes, you can get waxed on your period. Just wear a tampon or a menstrual cup to your appointment. Keep in mind that you may feel a little more sensitive than usual, but I’ll do everything I can to keep you comfortable throughout your service.
what should i avoid after my brazilian/body wax?
For the first 24-48 hours after your wax, be extra kind to your skin. Avoid:
Hot showers, saunas, sex, working out or sweating, tight clothing, swimming or tanning.
can i get waxed while pregnant?
Yes, waxing is generally safe during pregnancy! Many clients continue their regular waxing routine throughout. Your skin might be a bit more sensitive due to hormonal changes, but I’ll take extra care to make sure you’re comfortable and supported every step of the way. Always check with your doctor if you have any concerns.
how do i prepare for a facial/ brow wax?
Avoid retinoids and exfoliants for 7-10 days before your appointment. These products can increase sensitivity and may lead to skin lifting or scabbing.
Stay out of the sun and avoid tanning beds for at least 48 hours beforehand- sunburned skin cannot be waxed. Use your sunscreen!!
Skip alcohol and caffeine on the day of your appointment, as both can make the skin more sensitive to waxing.
how do i maintain my brow lamination?
Avoid getting them wet for the first 24 hours- this includes steam, sweating and skincare products.
Skip oils and heavy creams around the brow area, especially for the first few days.
Brush your brows daily with a spoolie to keep them in place and maintain that fluffy, lifted look.
Hydrate your brows regularly to keep the hair healthy and strong.
for best results, pick up the Elleebana brow Aftercare serum during your visit. It helps nourish and strengthen your brow hair between appointments.
After 6-8 weeks we can laminate the brows again. I recommend a wax and tint 4 weeks after the appointment to maintain the brows.
What is my brazilian/ body wax aftercare?
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
